The Charlton Press is pleased to announce the release of Coalport Figurines and Collectables, 3rd edition by Jean Dale and Alf Willis. This 288-page catalogue will be released in North America on March 1st, 2009, and in the United Kingdom two weeks later on March 15th, 2009.
The publication is divided into three sections:
The first section focuses on figurines produced by Coalport from 1891 to date. The listing for each figurine includes the designer, modeller, size, colour, dates of issue and discontinuation, as well as varieties, and the series to which the figure belongs.
The second section focuses on porcelain cottages, a tradition which can be traced back to the late eighteenth/early nineteenth century. New varieties of the Parasol Cottage and Summer House, both with a removable roof, have been added to the Cottage Section. Over 160 cottages produced at the Coalport factory are fully listed and illustrated.
The third section covers the storybook and children’s figures produced by Coalport: Alice in Wonderland, Basil Brush, Little Grey Rabbit, Paddington Bear, Postman Pat, Snowman and Wallace & Gromit.
With 24 colour pages and up-to-date pricing in Canadian and U.S. dollars and U.K. pounds sterling, Coalport Figurines and Collectables is an indispensable reference tool for evaluating and expanding a collection.
The third edition of Coalport Figurines and Collectables may be purchased from book stores, on-line book stores such as Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, BarnesandNoble.com and indigo.chapters.ca, or directly from the Charlton Press
